A new hire’s first week often depends on people remembering every handoff: HR sends documents, a manager explains the role and IT provisions access. If one step slips, the employee cannot begin, yet nobody can see where the process stalled.
The same questions keep returning: how leave works, where the contract template is and who grants CRM access. Answers are scattered across chats and folders, taking HR away from higher-value work and making new hires hesitate to ask again.
Solution
StartMate builds a 7, 14 or 30-day journey based on role, department and work setup. Every step has an owner and a deadline; when IT access is late, the bot reminds the task owner rather than blaming the new hire.
The assistant answers internal questions only from approved material and links to the relevant document. HR sees the real blocker instead of a vague completion rate: who is behind, which access is missing and whose mentor meeting has not happened.
